Gloucester High School, home of the Gators, is a large secondary school in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. It operates on a semester system from grade 9 through to graduation, and provides many additional program opportunities. Our School is a large, fully-networked facility beside the public library, an arena, pool, and outdoor athletic facilities. The school is easily accessible by public transportation. The school is a center for many special programs. These include language study (French, Japanese and Spanish), English as a Second Language, Computer Studies, Gifted and Gifted Immersion Program and/or International Advanced Placement examinations, the Arts (instrumental and vocal music, drama and visual art), Business Studies and specialties in the Social Sciences. Partners in Education are important to the growth and innovative nature of the school. Our partners are National Research Council, Industry Canada, Carleton University, Queen’s University and Telesat Canada. Our students are expected to put forth their best efforts to fulfill this challenging academic role with self-discipline, perseverance, and teamwork.
